If you want to go all out, i would tune down a 1000/1 jl amp. If you split the channels and tune it down, itll be plenty loud and its always expandable

which would be better a JBL 1200.1 or a JL Audio 1000

I got some S12L7's and right now im using a Fosgate 550s 2 ch Amp to power them.... It hits okey but im looking to go bigger. A friend of mines told me to get the Hifonics 1500D. It is 1500 watts rms @ 1 ohm so that is 750 to each sub. The sub handles 750 rms. thats perfect... Well thats my opinion. If you need a box for them i got a few sealed enclousers with springload terminals... lemme know.
