Just another "which way should I built this?" thread..

I'll start with this..

I have a 1993 Volkswagen Fox 4-door.

It's a very small car and has a very small trunk. I have two 12s in a sealed box in my trunk and it takes up half of my trunk space..

 

What I'm getting:

I am looking to upgrade sometime in the future.

I am going to get 2x Orion HCCA 15s (not sure which impedence yet)

I'll have all new 0 gauge wire, high performance custom alternator, two extra Optima's in the trunk ect.

 

What I want:

I want super heavy bass, I don't like high bass that's loud sounding, I like bass that shakes the car and is loud at the same time. (Tech N9ne - Demons is a song that I would like to play that comes to mind)

I would also like to play super low bass like Ludacris - My Chick and Dorrough - Trunk Bang.

 

What I need to know:

I think it would be super bad *** to build an infinite baffle design and have the back seats removable so that I can set them in if I need to cover my woofers or need room for passenger.

But would it work if I built an IB but it was ported in the front where the subwoofers are, and then built a box inside of the trunk?

Or should I just take the seats out and build a box inside the trunk, not IB design.

man...I ain't seen a fox in years is yours a 2 door or 4 door ? Do you have pics ?

Don't do IB. The lower you tune, the more output you'll have on the lower spectrum and lesser output on the higher end. Going from sealed to ported will be a big difference on it's own. I'd build the biggest ported enclosure you can fit (and fits drivers volume requirement specs obviously), and tune to 29-30hz.
