Just an idea

Just thinkin about how much added cost there would be to basically a built in DMM or even possibly clamp to an amp, and have it constantly read out at least output AC voltage, input DC voltage, input AC voltage, and what ohm load it's seeing, and if its not too much more costly, an rms clamp and reading out true rms watts its putting out on a built in display.

Idk...just somethin i was thinkin about, I know I'd probably be willing to throw in an extra 50 bucks maybe more on an amp that already costs around 400-500 to have constant accurate readings of stuff like that, never having to mess with a dmm...also could have a very basic o-scope but I think that'd be definitely overly costly

thoughts?

Blade amps used to have a black box that measured all parameters, but it wasnt displayed. They just stored in memory that the manufacture could access if the amp was sent in for warranty repair.

that can actually add a few hundred dollars to the cost of an amp.
Really? I mean I could ghetto rig up something like the bare minimum I suggested for probably less than 100 bucks...and thats by buying multiple dmm's. I think it'd be alot cheaper for them to do it and mass produce it than for an individual to customize it. Idk any more input?

The HK4000d already has input DC voltage and a temperature sensor read out and its probably the cheapest watts/dollar out there as well, honestly how hard would it be for them to have had a couple more measurements on that (ac voltage output and the load it sees)
