The W0 isn't a bad sub, but it's not worth the $100 price tag for a single 10" (retail). If you're going to put the money into it, get something else.

Now, that being said.. if you wanted to do a custom show-car with impressive SQ, a whole bunch of 8W0's would be awesome. Just give them each barely enough power to run 'em in a very large ported enclosure, and it'll sound like heaven. But that'd be very costly and very inefficient. I've seen it done, though.

even that would not impress me.....w0's sound decent....not great by any means....its definitley an entry level, "screw you over" sub.....i had a few for a while, but dont recomend them to any smart buyers.

uhh im getting 12" Alpine type-r subs for $115 of etronics.com so i wouldnt say its the best for the money..

actually, just didn't want a new person to the forum to be mis-informed...the jl WO is defintely not the best sub for the money....and def. not the most power efficient sub either...so the first statement was his opinion i give him that, but the 2nd was trying to state a fact, which it is not! i just don't want a person to go out thinking that it is one of the best subs out there when it isn't, i hate to see people get ripped off...like i did my first time...they should be informed! i was just pointing out....in a blunt type way, that he shouldn't base his decision on subs enitirely on that guy's opinion. peace

I have a 10W0 in a nice carpeted .6 cu ft box if anyone's interested. I paid full price for it at Tweeter (homemade box tho) and it just wasn't loud enough in the trunk of my big Delta. In the back seat of a smaller car it'd be fine with 125 watts.

I'll sell it for best offer.

When they came out W0's were great, changed a lot of things. Now they are good enough for the average person, and do their job. If you like JL go for it. Are there better subs for the money? Yeah, but that doesn't mean the W0's won't suit your needs.
