XTANT, is overpriced...you might hear me say overpriced a lot, and go, **** he is cheap...well I say hol don a second to that...I would gladly pay 5000 dollars for a huge amp, IF and only if it was worth it. Let me tell you about my beaf with XTANT. A while back, a buddy of mine was running an XTANT amp at about 1 ohm. Actually it was like 1.3...the amp fried, and he sent it in for repairs...it was still under waranty...he paid a good deal of money for that amp, but the amp was promptly sent back to him saying this type of damage is NOT covered under waranty. He called and called, but every time they answered, they transfered him from person to person...it ended up he had to pay to ship it AGAIN, and had to pay around $65 to get it fixed...
Well that does **** and is kind of gay of Xtant. Heh I am glad that I wont have that problem because since I bought new with full warranty, I believe it has a 4year warranty. Supposedly if anything goes wrong I just have to take it back to Tweeter and they should take care of it. Technically I am covered no matter what because if Xtant is gay and says something isnt covered then i'll stick get a new one because if its not the amps fault, its the installations fault heh...as far as I am concerned atleast

Yeh that would probably be embarassing heh. The first day I had it when my amp box was closed the thing was shutting off like every 10 minutes. Most annoying thing ever being it the first night I had it. But I got that fixed and havnt had any problems since. Running it at 1.5 ohms so shouldnt have any problems. I am thinking about going up to a third 10W7 on it and dropping it to 1 ohm but people say that it wont have enough power to run them efficiently, what do y'all think

I really want that.
He is stripped of his cash and handed JL goods, oblivious to other choices that set the world of car audio alight – Treo, DD, Crystal, Eclipse, MMATS, ID, Adire, BA, RE, sHoCkEr AuDiO, OZAudio, Blueprint, all very very capable drivers, as capable as any JL yet costing significantly less……
………that’s the truth….and whether you like ‘em or hate ‘em, JL have made a name for themselves. And 4 that, I take my hat off to them – respect JL.

spot on...............no matter what price point Jl tried to hit up, there was always something comparable and just as good AND often cheaper.
some examples of subs available that could rip Jl a new one........AND you could get 2 of sub X for the price of 1 JL...............

well i personally think that the W7 is an over rated p.o.s even if you can get it for 500 i listened to one for about an hour and it ended up givin me a headache ( prolly cuz of the price) if i had the money to get one id much rather get somthin that not many ppl would buy. somthin most ppl dont hear of less they really know there audio. i mean most ppl at least a little into car audio know of the W7 but unless they really into it they prolly wouldnt know of the XXX' or some of the other high end subs if i had around 600 to spend on a woofer it sure as hell wouldnt eb that one
