I'm trying to decide if I should go sealed or ported. Does anyone have any experience with the new w3's?

I heard one sealed and it sounded good but it was in a shop and it was built into the wall. It sounded good to me but I don't think I can really get a good description from the setup.

1-12" W3V3-4

It's going in a 2008 Cobalt Coupe which has a really quite cabin.

I think it would be optimal in a sealed box.

i have mine ported @ 31 they sound great. it depends on the music you like though. if you listen to music thats is long drawn out bass (rap), then go ported. if not you will like sealed

stick with the 1.25cu ft.

10" sealed box is .625

vented box is 1.25

50/50 rock and rap. Sealed is probably better for me....I would think.

I'm just looking for good low end, but not enough to give me a headache.

They are rated at 300wrs....in a sealed box think I can get away with a little more....maybe 450?

the new ones are 500. If you have music with short punchy bass like rock then yes I would go sealed.

i ran a 10w3v3 ported off of a 6500d @ 2 ohms and had real good results.
