Im planning on putting 3 10w3v2's in my regular cab ranger and im gonna power them w/ a hifonics 1205d amp. Are there any subs that may be better for this application yet have a mounting depth of 5.75 in or less

YOu can cut holes for the backplate in the rear of the box and gain 3/4 inch on the V1's, I don;t know the v2s unfortuneately.

if you have a 97 or older ranger your gonna have a problem with that 98-now you'll have a pretty good shot at it

i couldn't fit anything over a 5inch deep sub in my ranger, and im pretty short...so i just bought a 12 and inverted it inbetweeen my seats

i chopped my stock 60/40 bench and made it into buckets and sewed the material on the bottom, then i made a 1.0cube box behind my seats and im inverting it and the *** is gonna come out between my seats

i would go with the treo tsx anyday over the w3v2. the w3v2 is a horrible speaker. not very loud, not very good sounding, and you get popping and all sorts of nasty sounds out of them.

Did you intall or somone who had them install them wrong. There shouldnt be any popping on a good install, the sub gets decently loud, and have good SQ, IMO. Everyone has a diffrent taste on what sounds good to them. The best recomendation would be to go out and listin to all diffrent possible drivers, then choose witch ones you would like. You may end up going with somthing other then the w3v2, but the w3's are by no means at all a horrible driver.

To be honest i liked the w3v2's but they arnt really loud enough........I think its a good woofer tho

u need atleast 5-600watts to power the w3v2 10 and 12

the 15 an 18 i never messed with but my friends have put 8-1000watts on them and they got stupid loud

try diamond D3's, they are so much cheaper and are noticeably louder

u had them in a wrong box..they r decent sq subs..not better than w6v2's but its better than w7's sq i know that 4 sure
