Depending on what frequencies you like your bass.. 8's would be more for midbass I would think.

naw..most people get that kind of impression because they are small drivesr (in diameter). its definitely a subwoofer. heck, there are even 10" midbass drivers and 6.5" subwoofers out there (6W0 comes in mind)

yes the xxx will murder the se in all categories.....they just didn't mention it b/c you didn't bring it up when this thread was started.....they are also more $$$

what the SE is missing is the low-end. compared to other driver i used such as the idmax, e15k, w7, etc, the SE doesn't have much down low. now at around 40-60hz is where it gets crazy. lol. XXX all the way

cause on the XXX website it says it's mainly a "SQ" driver...
