JL vs Alpine

My friend has two jl w3v2 12" subs powered by a jl 500/1. I was thinking of getting an alpine type x 12" for 200 bucks. What i want to know is what amp would be a good match with the type x to completly destroy the jl system. The amp needs to be $220 tops. Or you can suggest something else that will destroy the system in the same price range.

Type X will have better SQ but not as much output as the JL 2 12's versus 1 . I would suggest getting a single Type R 15 or 2 12's and port them . An amp that puts out a true 1000+ rms should be sufficent for what ya need.

The elite will own 2 w3s. I have 2 elites, they arent in my car, but they have been, because I experiment alot, but they are awesome. You should definately give them a try, you wont be disapointed. Given that you install the elite sufficiently, then it will own 2 w3s easy. The elite can take 2 xenons 1200.1s by the way, but I notice how you only want to spend 200 bucs, well the pg elite is more than that, and so is the xenon amp. Did you decide to fork out more money.
