why not just do 2 idmax 12's. i would think that would be plenty of output. my 1 idmax 12 is mindboggling sometimes. also its alot cheaper to fix if it ever gets messed up or blown from a clipped signal. i mean its like 350 to recone a 12w7. 13w7 would be probably 400 or 450 i bet.

The ONLY W7 I'm even considering is an 8" - The 10/12 are out of my price range and power league

i gotta say x2 on the FI Q... why not a couple 12's or 15" Q's you would spend less and be more happy... JL product are awesome tho....

RE and IDQ I'm familiar with (at least I know what the acronyms mean) but FI Q / TC / SS RL-I ...I don't know what these are.

As far as the RE - Which ones, the SE's or the SR's - Which one's are the more SQ sub?

i would do the 2 12w6v2s, or even better 2 13w6v2s. And if you are looking for a great sounding driver, you cant go wrong in either with w6s or w7s.

But if you want to save some money go with a different brand. But you wont dissappointed with either.

You know... Looking at some RE audio SE 12's or some TC 1000 12's got me thinking. The JL 12w6's are twice as much...but are they twice as good? I've TC sounds before but people who make highend home stuff usually turn out highend car stuff, and the 2x I've been exposed to RE was in SUPER SPL stuff and WOW, I just alwayst hough they were an SPL woofer. Again I am more focused on SQ this time around after a 12 year hiatus (I did an SPL truck w/4 CV redline 15" in 10ft3 @34Hz in w/ 2 RF Power 1000 in 1993..lol) so again, GREAT accuracy in a sealed enclosure with GOOD output is what I'm after. I may roll RE or TC route...man, now more brain spasms

I think that was an attempt at "not equal to."

I see that you're here in Vegas. Fi is made here in town. They are also the build house for Ascendant Audio. DC Sounds is up the state in Sparks. Can't vouch for DC Sounds yet, but I have 4 8" AA Assassins that are awesome and an older RE XXX made by the guys who are now Fi that is currently in my car. Keep it local, save on shipping.

Sounds like you need to go drive around town to the different shops and see what you like. And if you think the JL is worth the money, go for it. i think 2 13w6s would be an amazing sub stage.

Grab yourself a pair of SS RL-i 8s or 10s, or a single SS RL-P 15, or single 15" SI Mag.

A pair of SI BM 10s or 12s would be nice too if you have the cash

I have 2 12w6v2's in a sealed application... I love em! JL is over priced, but I think they hit the mark on the w6's. If you have the cash go for it. There are better deals online. If you live in Vegas you should listen to helotaxi and take a serious look at the FI-Q.
