JL or Kicker?

Shopping for a 4chl 300-350W amp, what's better, the JL Audio 300/4 or the Kicker ZX350.4 ? Price not important as quality.

doesn't have to be JL or kicker, those two where recommended here locally. Any with built in cooling fans?, as I'm in the desert heat..

Those JL amps don't overheat, even with 21 hour road trips blastin it!

I'd go with JL. Plus a whole lot of customization on the frequency responce!

Ok, today another shop said their new MTX line of amps were just as good. Any opinions on these MTX Thunder TA amps?

Are you serious? Both are good amps, but not in a same league.

kicker and jl amps are both great. Both reliable as hell, both put out rated power or more. The JL has the kicker beat on signal processing though. However, unless you're running active, it won't matter much.

MTX does have some good amps. I wouldn't mind playing with a couple of their bigger products.

However, if you're looking at mainstream brands and retail costs, you'll be spending way too much for what you'll get.

How much are you looking to spend? What will this amp be powering? There are TONS of great amps out there if you step away from the mainstream.

Thanks Hintzyboy. Looking to spend $300 on an amp give-or-take. Need to power 4 speakers, front doors - 6.5 comps, rear doors 6X8 for fill.

Thought the JL would be a great choice, the local shops of course want to sell their products, so looking for un-biased opinions.
