How much power are you using and what size box?If you have alot of power then you might be able to see or fell tha difference.

the jl are more versetile. They seam to do better in more enclosures then the alpines. I would still recommend the alpines i have seen the alpines in a poorly made box and i was dispointed(first time to hear them and didnt know it was from the box) the next time i heard alpine was awsome clean, hard and loud, Tottally preffer the alpines. Both are more of a sq speaker i have heard the 2 w3 hit 151 in a bandbass. note box was not in car and in middle of room and reading taken 5 feet away behind chair. never see the numbers on the alpine but some one on this board said the alpine hit good numbers in the factory box.
