JL might not be all that..

I have two JL12w3v3-4's in my car and I decided im not that big of a fan of how they sound so I was looking to replace them with something with similar spec's so i don't have to replace my AMP. Any suggestions?

AMP setting aren't anything extreme, i'd have to run and check for exact numbers.

It depends how big the box is and what type it is. Not all prefabs are bad. Just a lot of em.

actually a box can make a world of difference get a properly built ported box as i'm guessing you want crazy loud.

4.4 cubes @ 33 hz w/ 65-70 sq in of port area

should gain 80% more then that pathetic excuse of a box you have now

What makes the box I have so bad? Minimum room for the subs or design? Regardless I'm thinking going sealed. I don't have much trunk room for ports which made the box I have nice.. I like a good amount of bass but nothing I don't think a sealed couldn't handle. I liked the idea of less power for more sound with the ported but I guess I got a reverse effect with the size...ironic. I like the idea of the sharper notes with the sealed to, its just I hear sealed shortens the sub life also? All thoughts welcome
