I currently have a JL J2-1000.1 and I was wondering if it was strong enough to properly and adequately push 2 JL 13TW5 shallow mount subwoofers . I went to a local audio shop and told the guy I had this amp and was going to use it to power these 2 subs.. He told me I would be greatly underpowering them... I just want a second opinion... Please let me know. Thanks!

no they will not be greatly underpowered, dont ever beleive what the "shops" say. the second they sense a lack of knowledge they will try to sell you something cause they know they can take advantage of you.

You will be just fine running that amp with those subs. Your amp does 900W RMS at 1.5Ω, that's 450W for each sub, 200W over the 250W JL recommends.
