JL Dub 7 and VGA 800.2

Will the soundstream VGA 800.2 be enough to move a JL 12" dub 7?

2 X 200 RMS 4 Ohm

2 X 400 RMS 2 Ohm

1 X 800 RMS 4 Ohm Mono

well it depends....if your going to port it...it should push it not to its optimum levels but u will get some decent notes out of it...if your going sealed 4get about it...it would barely move..

that should be more than enough power, sealed or ported, IMO. IIRC, the rms on the 12 is 750? if it can't reach reasonable xmax in a sealed box at or over its recommended RMS, i wouldn't have it.

I know that a sealed 10W7 pounds with a JL500.1, if that helps any.

what kind if power would the sub see if the sub is 3 ohm ?

btw, its not for me, potential buyer for my amp wants to know.

um...sixth....its a 3ohm coil not 4....he will not be getting the full 800...if he was my answer would be different...the sub would be getting around 550-650w...not the full 800

wanna explain how 3 ohm mono will produce less power than 4 ohm mono, providing the amp is stable?

um ahhhhhh........u right my mind was somewhere else...yeah plazman u can run it at 3ohms ...and u will get alittle more than 800...but then u have 2 find out if the amp can run that low bridged...
