JL components in Camaro

I have a 98 Camaro with the monsoon sound system I am going to replace. I was just going to see if the 6.5 JL ZR components will fit in the factory location and not be to deep.

Do your self a favor and dont go with JL... They are nice but better can be had for the price

Check Crutchfeild. That site will tell you what fits. Your going to want to amp them cause that deck wont push them to well

the ZR sound pretty **** good. i auditioned them again yesterday. they are better than $500 component speakers. I liked them more than the equivalent German Maestro. I like Hertz Mille more, but the Mille are an acquired taste.

JL makes very good quality gear.

I agree on the Hertz Mille, they will be in my next upgrade

I got the Jl's from a friend for a few hundred cuz he blew his motor and thanks for the advice and I am removing the entire stock system with a kenwood x995 hu and a Treo ssp sub in a custom built box from my local shop.

I will never have a shop build a box for me again. There are guys on here(venders) that will build you a better box and ship it to you cheaper then a local shop. They know what their doing, most shops dont.

Also would anyone recommened me an amp for the zr's. Those are the only mids and highs I will be running so any help will be great?

I've got a 2002 Camaro and I ran a set of JL C-3 Comps up front for a while and I thought they honestly weren't that great. I haven't heard the zr's though. A good amp to power your front stage is a SAX-100.4 Sundown Audio 4 channel amp. I love mine! If you have any other questions pertaining to Camaro set up ect. shoot me a pm bro.
