what is the difference between all of these models? and how do i know which ones are better or not, etc.

With JL the easiest way to know the appearent quality is to look at the retail price.

Starts high at the lowend, then gets expensive for their better stuff.

The ZR's are their top of the line speakers. I have the XR650 comps. Nice speakers.

About $225. There is definitely a difference in sound quality between the high end and lower end models. Yes, they all sound good, but the XR's and ZR's sound the best. I couldn't tell a difference between the XR's and ZR's.

I've always had an interest in the XR 2 way series.

Does anyone have a decent comparison based on experience what the biggest dirrerence(s) are between the ZR and the Z6 series? I've hear that the Z6's aren't that agressive, especially in regards to the tweeters.

Anyone have any experience with both of those sets?

I second that. If JL is going to be your component speaker of choice without question, I wouldn't buy lower than the XR line.

Yeah? What kind of music do you mostly listen to? I listen to mostly all kinds of rock from Journey to Hatebreed, and I usually favor a metal/aluminum tweeter to handle my high duties.

I listen to rock and country. The XR's and ZR's both have metal tweets. These tweets are the best sounding I've ever heard.

Don't know. Never even heard of the Z6's until just now.
