I'm running a stock NAV HU in my '06 Durango, would this help the signal significantly? Any other recommendations? I am going to post this in a couple of the other forums as well because I am not quite sure of the proper place to ask this.

My set-up is in my sig.

Thanks in advance!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

if money is an issue, i would go with the mtx req5.

i just recently installed it and i love it.

i had a bit of trouble getting it all together, but that might have just been me.

anyways. the mtx req is really great. i love mine. i used to use a loc and now with the req i can just send my amps rcas from there.

plus it has an auxilary input for ipod or any player or anything like that.

i didnt know which to get between the cleansweep or req either. everyone suggested the req for me. they told me the jl is over priced and depending on your stock system you might need some of their other equipment to work with your stock system... didnt want to take that chance since the cleansweep is expensive as **** as it is.

only thing i like about the cleansweep is that its supposed to calibrate itself for really good sound. that sound nice =)

but i would definitely LOVE to hear a cleansweep and hear the difference. if any.

let me know which one you get, and if you need any help with the mtx req (if you end up with it) il try and help. i had a really hard time finding help with the mtx and ended up having to figure it all out on my own

=(

clean sweep is really good. But if you wana spend the extra dollar get the rockford 360.2. Its got alot of control but needs a bluetooth device to tune everything.

With the cleansweep your system sounds good because JL said so. If you know what I mean.

Not a bad idea if you pair it up with a EQ tho.

The Rockford takes the cake in this category.

It sends a clean flat output signal with no user control.
If that's all you need then yes.
I just read all the info on JL's site and it sounds like what you said, as if it just gives a flat signal out with retention of factory controls over bass, mid, treble, etc...if so, that blows:(

Absolutely - I'm about to do the same to integrate with the stock HU in my Lexus. Something else you might look into would be an EQ - something like an AudioControl DQT.

Thanks RobertYoung08 for the review and offer to help, much appreciated!! Does the MTX retain use of factory bass, treble, etc?

The 3sixty.2 looks awesome, but costs WAY more than I am looking to spend. I really just want a nice, high-voltage, signal going to the back as opposed to the PAC35's that I have now.

Man I feel like an idiot. I can't believe I used to sell this stuff and can't remember it anymore:crazy: So, you would run from stock HU to processor (CS, RQ, etc), then off to EQ, then to amps??

Gotta say I didn't realize the cost of the CL441DSP...I had seen the pricing along time ago, but didn't realize what I saw was the CL-SSI. I think I may have to have both due to my stock set-up too:mad:

Time to look into other options.

Get the MTX its a cool little gadget as stated. Should fit the budget.

Think it would work with a premium Alpine stock system with dedicated sub? I obviously don't use sub or factory speakers, but I remember the installer saying something about the outputs and having an issue because of the sub output (I think it was crossed over or something...can't completely recall). Shop shut down too, so I can't call them up.

I see.

Well the REQ would be placed after the factory amp.

I'm unaware of what the frequency cutoff from the factory is. If I had to guess the factory probably puts out 40hz and up?...........

That's assuming on grounds that someone else mentioned it.

All I really know of it is that it is advertised as an 8 speaker (2 pairs of separates) plus a sub with 368 watts....all done by Alpine. I will have to get in touch with installer somehow, and hopefully he will remember:laugh:
