You need to look at the run of the mill, ca.com member. They want "mad deebeez yo" so they can blast their chopped and screwed, commercial rap (cRap for short). Ess Que is the last thing on someone's mind when they want to break 150 on the Term Lab and JL will cost WAY too much to get them there.

no so true. there are a few SQ guys on here that compete and none run JL. the stuff they run cost the same but works 1000% better. JL is nothing more then the mainstream nice sounding crap. thats all it is. its the best sounding mainstream subwoofer.

When it comes to speakers, they were innovative in the 90s. Sadly, those engineers are long gone and JL is still riding the wave of their success.

I've heard the Aura NS series, I've heard HAT, and the W6v2 is more than decent. Still used frequently in competition, so I'm not exactly sure what you mean...

meaning when you go to a local shop and say i want some nice sounding subs they offer JL if they carry it. jl is a mainstream name compared to the stuff used on this site.

The price some people spend on home audio is insane though. $100,000 stereos... It would be cheaper to buy a $50 concert ticket every day for 5 years.

We were in Waukegan. But the same guys I speak of that beat all of the JL setups did go down there too. I wasn't in Springfield, but I bet it was the same rep.

W3V1+W6V1 where better than there 13W7 i had a 13W7 and it wouldnt take 1500 clean watts, the cheap *** voice coil former thats is made of paper bubbled up and it rubbed.

I was actually referring to the JL Audio produced subwoofers. IMHO it appears that the later revisions were just *minor* changes to their previously existing design. In other words, no innovation, new technology, or anything exciting. Come to think of it, are they still trying to patent every fricking process under the sun?

I get so sick of JL bashing on this site. JL is a top quality brand. Yes, they are expensive but if you do your home work and shop around you can get a great value for the money you spend.
I think the reason JL gets so much hate on this forum is becasue they are successful. Why do people hate success. Everyone needs to keep in mind how long it has taken JL to get where they are. Do you think this just happened over niight and was a fluke. NO, it took a tremendous dollar investment in both R&D and advertising. How do you think this get's paid for.

I cannot stand ignorant people who run their mouths without know a thing.

If you don't have anything positive to say then shut the **** up. I have had plently of experience with their products over the last couple years and would be very happy with any system based on any of their lines.

Stop the JL hate.

Im confident this post will really turn the tide around here for perspective on JL Audio. I cant believe nobody has posted this exact same type of thread like a 100x before.
