They *could* be W5s, doubt it but it is possible. With the older lines you couldn't really tell without looking at the back. I can say that they are NOT W1s. The dust cap is too small. My guess would be first series W3s, but that is just a guess. Without seeing the motor, that's all you get is a guess. Event the impedance wouldn't give you a certain answer.

 
Regardless of what series they are, a legitimate 1kW is too much. W3s were 300W subs, W6s were 300w subs as well.
bleh.. I had a 1000/1 on w3 v2s for about 2 months.. No issues at all and my 1000/1 was clamped @ 1283 rms @ 2 ohm and 1239 @ 4 ohm..
