I am thinking about putting a 12w7 in my trunk of my 1999 Honda accord. I was going to put 2 12w7. However I think that will be too much bass because I'm not into all that spl stuff. My question is. Is 1 12w7 enough? or should I go with 2? THanks..

haha.. im not either..i just want a good sub that my friends will be like what the heck does he have in his trunk. haha. whats the max rms of this sub or wattage?

Then 1 W7 sealed will be plenty with about 500 watts.

hahaha..well it looks like ill en up getting 1 12w7..or i could get a 13w7..i never thought about that..any much difference except price?

if you run a 12w7 sealed I would throw more then 500watts at it.

youll have more than enough bass. A single 12W3 would get your accord thumping hard... a 12W7 will probably start rattling the whole car and making pieces fall apart

from what ive heard there is quite a big difference between the 12 and 13.5 w7

if you want it to sound good and still have the ability to get quite loud go with the w7 and i would get the 13.5

better to have a lil more than less

I just bought a 13w7 less than an hour ago. I am in the process of building a box, I will throw up a build log when I get it completed, but I can't wait to get it. 3 cubes @ 32Hz ported 37.5in^2 of port area sub up port back in the trunk of an acura legend 40" x 14" x 16"

I havea Digital Designs m1a, and i was wondering for anyone who would know, would you think running it at .75 ohms to the 13w7 with gains set properly I would have problems? I have a stock charging system you think ill be alright so long as gains are set properly?

Amp is rated 1200rms @ 1 ohm, but it obviously doesnt give reading at .75 ohms. I am lookin to sell this if anyone is interested btw.

two 12w7??? that's insane. I'd go with one and put about a 1000 watts to it.

1 12,ported is nice in a honda..........I got a TDX in my RSX

and its plenty for me (SQL) but I prefer more than 500 watts

I have a 12W3, it wangs pretty hard for a single 12 off of 400 rms. I might be clipping it though, I really should test that.

But yeah, if you're goin the 12w7 route, just get one. It'll be more than enough.

I would definately just stay with one 12 w7. If you not looking for anything too extreme, just something decently loud, and a good a sound the 12w7 will be fine.

Putting 2 ported in your trunk will be something that is hard bc of the size of the box going in there.

But as I stated b4 do the 1 12w7 on @ 700watts and you will be very happy
