JL Audio W6 or IDQ for SQ?

Hopefully last "vs" post of mine.

Found a set of 10" JL W6's (I THINK older model) for a decent price. Before that I'd made up my mind on Image Dynamics either ID or IDQ 10's. I'm looking for good SQ with decent punch.

I'm guessing this is a toss up.....but thought I'd ask.

Well depending on what you are having to spend, I would rather have 1 ID MAX 12" instead of 2 older W6s.

...but that is me.

Between the older W6's and the IDQ's, I'd probably take the IDQ's

Between the newer W6v2's and the IDQ's, I'd probably take the W6v2's

yea i second sqeak. i like the w6v2's sq more than the idq. but if they are the older version, i cant say, never heard them.

If it is the older jl's then like squeak said the IDQ's. If the new jl's then I would get jl. I would still get the id max 12v3" and call it a day.

I just verified. New JL (w6v2). $225 for a pair of them in a sealed enclosure.

No doubt, That's a good price for a couple of v2's. Go for it, if you don't like them you can get your money back out of them.

You sure they actually work? LOL......And have you seen them to verify the are the v2's?

Thanks. Pawn shop. They've actually had them for a bit...so there might be something funky. I did hear them a few days ago (before i knew what they really were) and they werent bad. I'm gonna have them pull one from the box and verify. But they say W6 on the little tab on the front of them...
