JL Audio quality ?

so ppl with experiences can you tell me about the quality of those ? i mean about spl

all serieas

just local diiler here spieling them up to the sky and tells at the same time that kicker is pure crap beside them and so on

all kind information is welcome

kicker and JL are both good companies....the only reason why a lot don't have JL stuff is just budget. I've only heard w0's, 3v2's, and a 6v2's and they all sounded pretty nice I thought. Everything else I can't speak for, never had any friends with their amps but they look very very nice, never heard a w7 either.....

also: the point of you can get better or the same for a lower price will come up as well.

they are quality products. but they are not the most bang for the buck. there are better for the money.

If you want something that is just loud, stay away from JL. They make great products but their output just doesn't impress me except on the 13w7.

If you have the money and don't mind using it on JL, then they are a great company. I'm anti JL cause I don't have that kind of money, and I think they are overpriced. But if I become rich, I would use some JL products (probably the 13w7)

ok lets say if i have for example 300-400 to spend for 2 12" subs then for that money JL is not worth ?

What would you consider a semi loud daily driver( spl wise ) for a single 12 tuned low??

mehhh I thought the outputs of the subs blended very nicely with the rest of my friends setup, wasn't drowning out anything just a nice mix together. Not sure what they are capable of really doing if you are going all out SPL. SQ though I thought they were very nice.

the w3v2 is perhaps the worst sounding woofer JL has made. i love that pop you always get from the cone. every single one i have heard has done that, including one in JL's box!

now the w6v2 on the other hand is perhaps one of the best sounding woofers on the market
