well im hoping for one of the places i applied at to call me back so i can have a job. and i am selling my mtx amp for $180 and i wound probably say something under $500

Nothing Jl makes is cheap, even the rareities you'll find on ebay, those idiots, they pay for the same price out of an online store but they don't get a warranty. The cheapest JL amp that you'll find is the 500/1 which can be found at like 420 on a few online stores

OK, here is what you want to do. Listen up cause you won't own a better amp(series). Go to Ebay and try to find a PPI PC2150 (dark grey, very important) they usually go for around 200.00 with shipping. The Qbass plus feature is awesome. With it you can select between 4 different frequencies to center your bass boost, up to 18 db. It has another feature that allows you to boost that frequency center at a wide freq. width or a narrow. Finally, they were underrated as hell. Rated at 600 ,but more than likely 800+.

If you can find a PPI PC1400, even better. They have the same features, but put out 400 @ 4ohms and 800 @ 2 ohms. It is a mono block amp.

I am usually quiet about this, but realized I have enough PPI amps to last me a long long time.

the jl 500/1 is a good setup for the speakers. the amp is little underrated to. you should be fined with that amp
