Hi All

Need some tips to source the cause of my door speaker amp getting seriously hot to touch when running for a short time , I have the following amp>

Frequency Response5 - 30000 Hz

Signal-To-Noise Ratio108.5 dB

Continuous Power / Channel Qty75 Watts x 4

Amplifier Output4-channel

Input Signal Voltage0.2 - 2V, 0.8 - 8V

CrossoverActive crossover

Amplifier ClassClass AB

Distortion Factor0.03%

Amplifier Output details75 Watt - 1.5/4 Ohm - 4 channel(s) 150 Watt - 3/8 Ohm - 2 channel(s)

FeaturesInput level controls, thermal protection, subsonic filter, short circuit protection

Only running about half the output level on 2 rear 6x9 100w rms speakers and 2 front 90w rms 6.5cm .

Earth is 4 gauge to the seat belt mount ( very clean ground) (Biggest the amp will take )

Live is a 2 gauge from battery that splits down to the amp input size via a fuse block 4 gauge ..

the live comes to the boot and is shared with my mono block amp for the subs. ( this doesnt get hot ) Can give more info if required ..

Any help very useful chaps .
