JL Audio 500/1 v2 has no sound at high volume

I have a new 500/1 v2, a new battery, a capacitor and I can not stop this amp from going silent @ loud volumes(not shut off, no indicator lights when it happens). The ground and power wire is 4 ga. The rca input to the 500/1 v2 is relayed from the RCA output of a four channel amp. This is mind boggling and I have seen a lot of people with the same problem with these JL audio amps. I never had this problem with my punch amp in the same set-up! ANYBODY PLEASE HELP BEFORE I TOSS THIS AMP OUT THE WINDOW WHILE ON THE INTERSTATE!

i had this same exact problem with my old crossfire. it would go into silent mode and sometime just totally shut off. it wouldn't go into protect or anything it just stop playing music. so i finally opened it up and i little cap had broken off and was grounding out the amp. i'm lucky i didn't blow the whole amp. once i took it out and put it back where it went the amp ran fine and to this day hasn't cut out like that again.
