JL Audio 13w7 or Phoenix Gold Ti elite

What sub would be better the JL Audio 13w7 or the Phoenix Gold Ti elite? I have never heard the Phoenix Gold Ti elite. What amps would give the best performance of each subwoofer? I was think about putting two or four in a Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab; i know i can fit two but i dont know about four.

that is a good question i've never heard the ti's either, they look tight though, but i give jl more credibility.

I would probably take the JL...they are both around the same price, but the W7 is just an amazing driver...

i've heard of major SQ problems with the Ti Elites. a couple ppl over at CAF tried them about 6 months ago and absolutely hated them. said they distroted easily and were just overall badd woofers. This was also coming from established installers, not some newbie. One of the guys dropped some W7s in the install with the Ti Elites and said there was night and day difference, hands down the JL won.

but, this is what i heard from other people's experiences. it just happened to come from 2 different people, both with the same problems, and both established installers.

I was examining one the other day. Lots of money in aesthetics and other useless crap (little led's in the diaphram - I wonder if they took into account the effect Mms would have?). I wouldn't spend my money on one, and I haven't heard one.

I only knew about it when Mark told me about it, and sent me clips to see what it actually was..

When the sub goes to high excursion, the surrounds get a "dimple" in-betwwen lengths. It's not supposed to affect performance, but it looks nasty.
