I am buying the JL Audio W7 12inch Subwoofer And have a few questions. First is what kind of box should I put it in? Second will I need a Cap, If so how many farits? And lastly my last set up was a rockford fosgate p5002 amp at 1500 watts 2 channel. Will I be able to use this amp for my W7? If so please explain how because I dont understand How it works its 1500 watts i know its 750 per channel but I want to put the right power to really make it hit. If there are other suggestions about another amp please say so.

PS

I cant afford the Jl monoblock 1000/1 so please tell me others

Thanks so much guys

you need at least 3.55 ferrets and the sub is 3 ohms SVC so it will get about 190 watts from your amp per channel . you gotta be carefull with that power man you might blow it.

i ported my 12W7, 3 cubes @ 33 hz.

no caps needed.

do you know roughly how many watts that amp does @ 3 ohms?

ok being serious this time, you have a 2 channel amp that puts out 125 watts per channel at 4 ohms and 500 watts bridged at 4 ohms. the W7 is a svc 3ohm sub. unless you want to try to bridge your amp at 3 your going to need a new amp. there will be no need for a cap so forget about that.
