JL Audio 12" w6 or 12"w3

Well, the W6 can handle more power but you might get a little more excursion with the W3. All depends on your amp, but if you blew a W6 than you should go with TWO W3's. I wouldn't make the bold claim of saying the W3 is better, but I didn't know the W6 was discontinued. They have plenty of them here in Silverdale, just cross the water and come visit us. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

If I were in your shoes I wouldnt step down to a lower JL model. The w3 does supposedly have slightly larger excursion but the w6 has the better powerhandling and is more flexable mount wise (w6 isnt as deep).

I find it hard to believe JL is discontinuing the w6, but I do not claim to know a 5th the stuff other people do here. Good luck.

i'd have to agree...i wouldn't go down to a lower sub. I heard that the W6 has better sound quality. I doubt that JL discontinued the W6, and even if they did, i'm sure that Car Toys would be able to find a new one.

Yeah, I agree with everyone else I wouldn't go with a lower sub neither. I have 2 12' W3's and they are loud, and yes the W6's are discontinued the W6 v2 is the new sub. Looks like a W7 with a W6 on it and handles 400 watts rms all day pretty nice for an expensive price though.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
