right now i have a stock battery and alt and i was wondering how big of a battery would i need to support the 500/1? btw its the cheapest battery possible, was only meant for temp use but i havn't got around to getting another haha.

my positive battery cable has like 5 wires going to it that i would have to splice into 1, im not sure if it would be worth the trouble

no just my positive battery cable it self. like idk its weird haha. ill just go to the eclipse forums and ask for some pics on how they did it. haha cause i started to do it and then my mechanic told me i would probably kill my stuff cause i was having problems just screwing on the cable to the terminal haha

I have the 500/1v2 and stock battery that came with my car. No problems whatsoever.

he means for other electrical in the car. my nissan was the same way, everything hooked up at the terminal, my tacoma is not like that, there is 1 cable going to my positive (other than amp cable) it goes somewhere i cant see and thats where all my (lights/ac/ whatever else) hooks up to it.

ya it would be a pain to splice all those wires together in 1 big clump. i will probably just run it off wat i have and see how it handles.

ya and with my old crappy 500w amp that was like 20 years old on a decenet battery was already making my lights dim n stuff while driving haha and im pretty sure that JL will put out alot more than that crappy one.

JL would most likely be more efficent though.

you may be missing the point here... don't splice anything, just add to. Create a new + from alternator to + on battery, create all new grounds. Leave OEM wires where they are.... just add new ones, pref 4gau.

i think your missin my point tho, the wire from the alt to my battery, on the tip, has like 5 wires like going to it.

if i just run a new wire, wat will happen to those 5 wires...
