JL 500/1 Vs...

So I was at a local shop, looking for a JL system, just because I like the way it all sounds.

I want a w6v2 or equiv sql and spl, and I want to power it well.

The guy had the 12w6v2 for $499 and a 500/1 amp for $550. I'm almost positive I can feed just that much power to a sub for way cheaper, and they told me "nothing would compete against the jl amp to power the sub."

Can I get better prices online? ;-x I live in the 67212 zip, wichita kansas.

1050 you could get 3 subs and 2 amps = to the w6v2 and jl 500

There are many other cheaper options out there without sacrificing what you want to get out of your system...

check out soundplinter, re audio, elemental designs... "underground" companies as apposed to mainstream but are very very good in quality, just not very well known

but, if you insist...

a jl 500 can be had for around 300 or so used on the forums if you look around...
