I have a question and need some help. I currently have two ED 11KV2 10" subs dual 4-0hm sub ran by my JL 500/1 no problems at all sounds great.

I had in the past 2-10" Orion XTR prtotoype subs at dual 3-0hm that the guy on here was selling with the turbulance diust cap ran by my JL 500/1. The problem I had with these was thta everytime the bass hit the lhead lights would almost dim out completly.

I now want to go to a single dual 4-0hm 12" G5 in 1 cuft with the GTR tuned radiator, ran by my JL 500/1. Am I going to have that same diming problem at 2-ohm? Will the amp draw more power at 2-0hm causing the light dioming?

My thoughts were that there was something wrong with the XTRs, possible not enugh power from the 500/1. I think they needed like 500 a peice. By going with the one 12" at 2-0hm, will that be the same draw as the two 10" at 3-0hm or even the same as the ED 4-0hms?

Someone told me that the JL 500/1 does not draw anymore power at 4-0hm then at 2-0hm because of the way the amp is setup to run the same power from 1.5 to 4-0hm, is this correct?
