JL 300/4 Amp

My friend and I recently just installed a JL 300/4 amp in my car. Sounds great and all but sometimes the voices in the song are not as loud as the song is and the chorus part of the song, the voice gets really loud for example "What you know" by T.I. I was wondering if any if you guys can help me by telling me what to adjust on the amplifier to make the vocals on the songs get higher. Thank you.

Could be:

Equalization is needed.

Doors are not deadened/sealed properly, causing cancellation in certain frequencies.

Speakers are underpowered.

Gains not set right.

bleh i've had problems with these amps too....but not in the SQ department.

I didn't help you with the installation, you did it yourself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm glad to see you're developing into a DIY audiophile. Try setting the tweeters back to

-1db rather than -3db. It was a little harsh before, but try it out and see how it goes. I'll order the deadener soon, and I'll make you some MDF rings too.
