jl 300/2 v1

how old are the version 1 black jl amps? Im thinking about buying a 300/2,but I want it in black,and I dont believe the version2 does. I find alot of new version1 for sale in black,have they been sitting around for years possibly?

im also looking for comparisons between the jl 300/2 and the sundown 125.2. I like the fact the jl puts rated power below 14 volts,but im also curious if that doesnt matter because the sundown is under-rated and puts out as much/more than the jl. any input?

The black v1 Slash amps came out several years after the silver v1 slash amps, and in limited production. I believe they were out for about 2 years before the v2 amps came out. The v2 amps do not come in black. I have 3 black slash amps that just hit 2 years old, and I remember having to order one or two of them because they were fairly new and not as readily available as the silver ones. They come with a 2 year warranty as well, so if you are finding black amps out there, there's no reason to expect them to be old or worn out.
