JL 300.2 running hot

Hey, I have a JL 300.2 that seems to be running hotter than I would expect. It's not enough that I can't hold my hand on it for longer than a few seconds without having to pull away. Otherwise it seems to be working fine. I am pushing 8 6x9s with it wired into a 4 ohm configuration. It runs hot even when we're not pushing the volume particularly high.

Is this normal for this amp?

my JL seems to run hot too, i mean to the point where i can barley touch it, I have an e4300. It only seems to do it when im pushing it for a while, a 6.5 inch component set and 8inch woofer. You may also be asking a bit out of it with 8 speakers hooked up to it. try running 4 or 2 and see if temps stay the same or get lower, with the same 4ohm load of course.
