both are good choices, the W6 cost a bit more and take a little more room, but if you don't mind losing a bit more space and paying a little more, I'd go with the W6

go with the w6 for sure but if i was goin to be buyin them id go with 3 12's but that amp should work well for eiter application

from what i hear the w3's don't have as good SQ, but if it's your first system or something...you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I would recomend the W3's because the SQ isn't really a big deal

sorry zane...i meant that the SQ wouldn't really be a difference that he could hear, unless he wanted to go to SQ competitions or really wanted a good SQ system

I'm planning on going with 3 12w3s. Originally I wanted the w6s but they are 6 ohms and wouldn't be compliant with the JBL 1200.1 amp. Is this correct to assume?

Any combination of at least 1 ohm would work. If I am thinking correctly, (3)w6's could be wired to 1,4,9 or 36 ohms.
