it because it has a regulated power supply. Just like how can some amps do the same power at say 13v as they do 14v. I wouldnt say that this results in a poor design at all.it means the power supply in the amp is poorly designed or something is designed poorly in it.

well if its rated at 2500@1ohm and it puts out more than 1250@2ohm, then its not a poor design, its an awesome (but confusing) designya they do but i belive i read that somewhere...maybe somebody smart will come and help us

**** i paid 530 for my 1000/1 and just sold it on ebay, only got 450ish. what other amps are regulated?slash amps are the only jl amps that are regulated and have the impedence deal..
