JL 10w7 on Rockford 800.2 amp?

I am thinking of replacing my 2 X 10 Punch HX2s with just 1 10W7. Is this advisable? I will eventually get JL amps in the near future. Im all about SQ. Please advise.

Are you goint to a single sub set up due to space limitations? If not way not upgrade your RF subs to Power instead of Punch?

what size r those punch. if gonna sell em let me know i'll buy em. yeah the power series r great subs. i had a couple of the 15" powers they were great. anyways i think the 800.2 would do just fine on the jl sub if i recall right the 10w7 takes 500watt rms so the 800 should make it hit put it in a ported box.

It is a 99 Accord, it can actually hold 2 10s. I can only afford 1 10w7 though. =\ These Punch HX2s are 2 months old, I got em for 130 each shipped. I will set it go for 170 shipped if you live in the US. Are the W7 really that good? Im content with Punch HX2s, but I just want the next level.

if you want really clean tight SQ, get the single W7, btu I dont feel they are worth the hype and the money, why not move up to the powers, their price is coming down becuase the 2004 line is out
