JL 10W12.4 Ported Box Recommendations

Right now I have it in a ported box my friend made me out of counter top that is too small. What size would you recommend?

you can throw 250 RMS clean wattage on it no problem, but i recomend building a box from something sturdier then cardboard

It's not cardboard

by counter top you mean the board under the plastic, i don't know if thats good for sound. the 12W1v2 needs 1.5^3 and you can get a half sheet of mdf for around 14$.
