JL 1000/1 + 1 farad cap + stock alt ok?

Well i just got a 12" w7, 1000/1 JL amp and a 1 farad cap all for free....kinda. Wont go into details tho. But anyway, im running the stock alt in my talon which is like 70amps along with a red top battery. Am i gonna be ok? I have a spare stock style battery laying around 2.

bought a used car, well, an 03 evo and it had all this in the back. It was my dad that bought it and hed rather have the trunk space and he doesnt like bass. So i got the stuff for free.lol

what make/model vehicle do you have (or better yet) what's your alternator idle/cruise output?

1995 eagle talon tsi awd with a stock 75 amp alt

With a 75a alt, you will not be able to power that amp sufficiently, the cap and red top won't do you any good either. By the time the cap keeps robbing your battery you will realize too late that it's time to get a new batt. I would suggest a yellow top and at least a 140a alt........Also a big three upgrade would be required.

i reccomend at least a 120 amp alternator for powering that setup. that and a Big 3 should be fine.
