one sold recently on ebay for $54 shipped. i was watching it but didn't bid. it was in great shape. I think $54 was a good deal for the buyer.

You should get the one from Rightbrained in the classifieds. A friend of mine wanted to get it but he lacks the monies.

I'm unsure myself but Shinju seems pretty knowledgeable when it comes to amplifiers and, you have to admit, It does bear a striking resemblance to Mantz's other designs of the time.

FWIW - Steve replied to an email of mine -- It's an Asian amp.

As I said, Zed Design, Alot of his Designs were taken and built buy asian markets. Just like the SX and Stealth Autotek Series amplifiers were made in Korea.

Now If I said Zed Built then yes that would be a lie.

But if the man say's it isnt his then it isnt, I just know that the Autotek amps at that time clamed to be Zed Design not built by him.

So many amps so little time lol I got it wrong I guess. Anyway the KA5 is still worth picking up.
