jensen 1000watt amp for 2 alpine 12" type R's???

im looking into buying 2 12" type R's in a custom box from a friend, he also has an amp for sale. Im getting the subs boxed for 225 and the amp for an additional $75. Im jsut wondering if this amp will run well with the subs. the specs are as follow...

Should I just buy the subs or do you guys think that amp will be powerful enough for those subs and sound good?

skip the amp. although for 75$, it isn't that bad of a deal. it just won't push type R's. maybe a single type R.

they better the newer versions of type r's otherwise their trash. Also, you need to look into buying a hifonics bxi 1606d. You can get them for around $170.
