i have a 97 jeep grand cherokee..

i want to know what would be a good setup in this thing..

i have had 2 15 in L5 and they aren't loud enough i want louder...

i was thining W6 or w7's... i want something thats going to rock my world and be in a ported enclosure tuned to around 32-36 hz...

im going to build the box to take up the whole back so i will have around 13-16 Cubic ft.. or maybe more...

i just need some suggestings on a nice sub and amp setup and some suggestings on door speakers...

Well, what do you want to spend? I hate when people ask this, it is too broad of a question. The ideal thing to do would be to research products on your own, and pick the correct selection.. But allright.

Have you tried different enclosures with the L5's? I have a 95 Cherokee and have found that subs up, ported to the side yeilds the most output for me..

i sold the L5's.. im would spend around 500 for a pair of subs maybe more

well i dont know about L5's since i have L7's and i dont know about W7's , but i know L series > W6's in SPL hands down...

like we've told you many many times in many many different threads, your L5's was a GOOD START! you simply cannot beat L5/L7's output for its price! i gaurntee if you tried another box or mayby upped the power it wouldve made you smile from ear to ear... i just dont see how 2 15" L5's "wernt loud enough?" of course there is louder, but many people have told me my 2 12's are the loudest thing they have ever heard

You want to get louder than a pair of 15" L5s on a $500 budget? Good luck with that one...

I agree with Twistid. You should've played with your setup. I have 2 12L7s on 2000wrms and it'll get painfully loud. I haven't found anyone willing to sit in my Tahoe at full blast longer than a minute or two. It's simply too loud. There's no way that 2 15" L5s properly setup should'nt be "loud enough" unless you're trying to compete. I'm actually selling my pair of of L7s to go with a single Mag because I'm looking for more SQ and I currently have way more SPL than I'm actually using.

I just don't think you're going to do any better than a pair of 15" L5s on $500. Maybe 15" '06 L7s. The main thing is feeding them enough power. To really wang a pair of 15" L7s, you'll want 2500wrms. You'll need to upgrade your electrical system to handle that. What were you giving those L5s? What amp do you have?

Edit: WTF are you planning to put in 13-16 cubic feet?! Do you have any idea what you're doing? With that space you could do 4 CVXs or something like that. However, to do something along those lines, you're going to need A LOT of wattage and A LOT of electrical upgrades. You're going to be talking about WAY more than $500, that's for sure!
