jeep grand cherokee 4 12" type r's

well you must not be doing a WALL then, because that would include sealing it off to the sides, bottom, and roof of vehicle to do it correctly. making it pointless for the subs to be behind the wall lol. not sure where this is going, GL, i'd like to see some results.

walls dont have to be flat btw, just because the seats slant, you could slant the baffle of the box (kinda like you did for the rear).

its the right cubic feet and its tuned so the vent going opposite of the subs shouldnt make to big of a difference
what do you mean? you coming up with this out of thin air? you dont know if it will make a difference or not! "shouldnt" lol

these guys in here are trying to help you out, they do have some experience with this stuff and can tell you it will make a difference //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

just tryin to help out. but let us know how it works out and then i suggest doing a wall correctly.

its going to be a wall. its not like its done. im gonna put the subs in and then take it to get apolstured to where the front and back sides go straight across to the windows.

in the pic with the seats up and the box behind it, there will be wood going from window to window. the box has a setback in it cause the windows come up past the 2nd row seats. so in order to put a wall in i adjusted the box to fit

but you understand your sealing off the subs from the front of the vehicle if you do a "wall". why not subs up, port back? and still retain your rear view

i tried that but i couldnt get enough volume. with the vent, its not like it goes straight into the box. it's u shaped. it'd be just like any other box with a vent. it'd be just like and L vent only with one other turn

i dont get what your point is... I would be more concerned on sub and port locations. atleast do a full wall with subs and port forward. and seal it off to the vehicle.

i dont see how the subs facing forward would make such a difference though. ive put other threads up on there asking questions about this stuff and people said the way i did it would work.

i came up with it cause it fits in the jeep. i dont have any specific programs for box designs. some one on here told me what volume and what to tune it to. so thats what i did.

well they didnt lie..... your subs will work.....

but just proven from a lot of testing from a lot of competitors that this is probly the worst way to do it, and yet you being a n00b who has no experience is arguing.

members tried to help, but you are too dumb, so enjoy your system. Since you are a n00b you will most likely think it sounds good and loud but I am sure have nothing good to compare it to

ok, not bashing you. just trying to get a better understanding. its unusual but sometimes thats good. let us know how it sounds. did you have any other systems to compare it to once its done? sometimes people will be like "Hell yeah its crazzzy loud" but thats because they dont have anything else to compare it too lol...

next time, you could definetely fit subs and port forward, pretty much the same way you designed the back, just turned to the front with the port on the front the way it is now too.
