These subs are suppose to be dual 6 ohm but what they show on here is there VOICE COIL DC RESISTANCE: REVC (OHMS)* . . . . . 3.20.

So I have been talking and reading on the forums and noticing that that more closer to a dual 4 ohm sub then a dual 6 ohm sub cause i wanted to run 2 of these in a 1.5 ohm load when 3.2 / 2 = 1.6 -1.7 on my subs. Well that is what it shows on the dual 6 ohm config on the jbl manual. So anyways I would think these are more dual 4 ohm subs but i need a lil more help cause what i plan on doing is running them like a dual 4 ohm sub config to get a 1 ohm load on my sundown 1500d. Should i be treating these like the dual 6 ohm subs as the site shows or try to config them as dual 4 ohm subs. I tried to call jbl today but there closed due to labor day.

It's more like a dual EIGHT (8) ohm sub. Two of them wired in parallel will give you closer to a 2 ohm load than a 1.5 ohm load. Voice coils are rarely exactly 2, 4, or 8 ohms. Plus when they heat up, resistance tends to increase, reducing the draw on your amplifier. You're worried about the difference between a few tenths of an ohm though. I am about to purchase 2 of these, and will be running two amps strapped at a "2" ohm load, even though it will really be 1.7 or so. You need to double your wattage to see a 3db gain, and the difference in power between a few tenths of an ohm will not make enough difference for you to hear it.

BTW, Jacob (sundown) PM'd me in response to this very issue and said two 1500ds strapped would be fine. Maybe you should look into buying a 2nd one if you're not happy with the output of the single one.
