Jbl ms-8?

just hooked it up and getting overpowered by the sub, i have it running to my amps, anyway my tweets, woofer and midbass are just not loud. any help please

Crossover settings

Sub xover - Sub sonic 45Hz 12dB/octave and HPF is 80Hz 24dB/octave

Lo/mid xover - 250hz 12dB/octave

mid/high xover - 4250hz 24dB/octave

are those settings ok thank u

any setting recommendations?

I'll try. SS is way to high. If your box is not grossly oversized you can turn it off.

You have nothing between 80 and 250hz. The MS8 is going to balance as much as it can going off your weakest link. That's the weakest link.

i have my mid bass from 80Hz to 250Hz, the way the m8 is, its kinda weird, it doesn't like give u sub hi/lo filer, mid bass hi/lo filter, mid range hi/lo filter and tweet hi/lo filter like an amp does, it asks subs (subsonic) Subs (HPF), Lo/Mid Filter (80Hz to 250Hz) which i guess is ur midbass, then its Mid/Hi filter which is (i guess 250hz to 4500Hz) which is mid range filter, that is all u can set up aside from the dB/Octave.

what i did is just put my Fronts (mid range/tweets) on the JBL MS8 and did it as 2way, no sub

then put my Mid Bass and Sub just directly connected to my amps and control from there, it seems the JBL MS-8 was just making my midbass so low and the sub woofer way way way way too loud and set the crossovers according line between the JBL MS8 for mids/highs and then on the head unit set acc. to the midbass and subs to where i want it and it actually sounds a lot better, not conventional but i guess works, makes the fronts so much clearer and the midbass and subs clean and no overpowering sub.
