JBL GTO 180x and 100x older amps

I am looking at picking up both of these amps. I don't know anything about the quality of these, so I was wondering if anyone has had experience with them. Are they overrated at all? How is the Sound Quality? Are there any common issues with these? What is a fair price on each? One is in great condition while the other is more of a "good" condition, but mostly just dirty.

Bump. Really need some info on these amps. I want to pick them up, but I have no knowledge about them.

i've only had glancing experience with them. seen them, held them, may have hooked one up in someone's car. it's been a while. as i recall, they were nice.

not worth a ton of money though. $100 for the pair is a fair price, i wouldn't go over $150 for both (that assumes the 180x is in great condition).

it's not that they are underrated, their power ratings are at .05% THD where most modern amps are at 1% THD. so the 60Wx2 of the GTS 180x will sound more like 100Wx2 from a modern amp.

they would be nice to run a component set active. 100x on tweeters and 180x on woofers. or 180x on front and 100x on rears.

I was wanting to get them to run a two way active set. Is the sound quality good? That's what I'm most concerned with. Don't need them to be suburb, just better than Hifonics or MB Quart stuff.

I have never been disappointed with a JBL product. I have ran a few of these older amplifiers and liked them all. Always ran them on highs myself. Some of my favorite front stages were ran with JBL amplifiers of all vintages.

I have the $100 Pioneer Components and I want to get a single 6.5-8 that will play well in the 180x until I can run an active set. I am getting the pair for $85. Any idea of where to get input clips for the 180x?
