I am thinkin about getting two sets of these components for my Monte Carlo SS, I havent really seen any non-biased, reputable reviews out there. Can anyone tell me how they are? Both sets will be powered by their own amp, at 180W RMS.

Horrible for the money.. Very muddy sounding mids, and harsh tweets.. I would look elsewhere..

i like the midbass not crazy about the tweets, but overall 8/10. they need 100w+ to sound good

QFT. I auditioned them a while back and they failed to impress me in any way. I fiddled with the HU's EQ for a good long while and no matter what I did I just could not get them to sound decent.

Havent personally heard the prs's, but Ive heard to many negative things, especially about the tweets from a few people I know.. Who knows though..

That will be plenty of amp for them, especially if you decide to run them active. CJ over at diyma was running 4x60w iirc.

you wont be dissappointed with that amp...i have one and love it.. its rather large but is rock solid..... i like the fact its very easy to set up without the worry of clipping.....it has the blinking lights on it to tell you when its clipping....took maybe 10 minutes to set up! running it biamped with my polk momo's and it sounds great.

ok, so the boston accoustic Pros, and the JBL Amp. 8 Guage wire for the Amp ok? And where is the best place for the tweeter mount. A-pillar?

that all should be good.. whats the amp draw ont the JBL amp??

Usually you want the tweets about eye level.. if you want you can put them in the a piller..

Yeah, thats the one, I think 8 guage should be plenty, but if anyone thinks otherwise...
