JBL BP 1200.1 or JBL GTO1201.1 II

Which amp is better? I know the BP 1200.1 is older, but i can get it for like $50-75 less than the GTO1201.1 II

I'm am pretty much sold on the Orion H2, but...

With either of these amps, what would sound louder...

1 12" Orion H2 12.2 (Ported box)

1 Alpine Type X (Ported box)

2 12" Infinity kappa Perfects in a sealed box

My bet is the infinitys would have the best SQ, but worse SPL even though there are 2 of them. idk why i think that but i do. maybe becuz they are only 350 RMS each.

The alpine Type X would be the most well rounded SQ, SPL sub of the bunch.

The H2 would have the BEST SPL, but worst SQ... but i don't think the SQ is that bad...

ive been readiny that the x cant handle much over its rms but the type are has been getting some great numbers and ive read that the infinities get decently loud in a ported box

i have a 1200.1 and love it. has taken a beating since it was my first amp and its still going strong. not 1 problem as of yet. and it put 1350rms:veryhapp:

what year did they stop making the 1200.1? does it bother u there is no sub-sonic filter?

Id say that if u can get the bp 1200.1 get it cause it is 1ohm stable which would give u more choices as far as subs u can buy. but i have used both and love them... im a jbl fan all of the way

Hi, I baught a Skoda Octavia '04 in which there is a place for 6.5 inch front doors speakers and a place for 1 inch tweeter behind the side mirror I am planning to change the existing factory supply system by another one of the following:

Head Unit

Alpine CDA-9853R / CDA- 9812RB

Pioneer DEH-P77MP/ DEH-P7700MP

Front Speakers(6.5 comp)

JBL P650C /Infinity Kappa 65.5CS / Polkaudio db 6500 Alpine SPR-17LS

For Rear Spaekers(6x9 coaxial )

Polkaudio Momo MMC690 / JBL( power series) P953 / Alpine SPR-694A / Infinity Kappa 693.5i

I am confused between 2 available brands for 4 ch Amps , Shall I go for Alpine or Rockford as I will use it as a 4ch amp for the F & R spaekers.

I am new in this foroum and asking you the most experienced guys to help me for setting a good system out of the previous

Which brand is better for the front & which is the best for the rear.....

Also is there something like common rules when you use Pinoeer HU it is driving power but Alpine is more clarity so you should choose special type of speakers with each brand or there is no difference

Guys help me as I will purchase these units through Internet and I cant find a chance to try listnening to these models in any shops here as it is not available
