temp. are rising and your amp may be getting hotter than usuallnot possible, cd5000 is an excellent head-unit I have the gain set very low. If I was clipping anything it would have been long gone. This setup has been working great for nearly a year now. Now routinely the amp shuts off at volumes over 30 and always at 80 even with the gain turned down..
